Posting Ads

 

Posting is straightforward. You just click the "post to classifieds" link (it's on left corner of the main page), drill down to the appropriate category, and fill out the simple posting form.

 

The first page to which you're directed when posting will invite you to create an account. You don't really need an account, but it'll take only a minute or so to set up, and can make things a lot easier. So do get that account.

 

However working without an account is just as easy. Accept the �Warning and Disclaimer� agreement

and begin to create your ad.

 

Required fields. In general, all of the text input boxes are required:

 

Starting with �Ad Duration�. This choice features differences in the length (days) and the number of features that will accompany an ad. Choose �Free� when in doubt.

 

Next is Zip Code. Simple enter your Zipcode or the Zipcode of the company, event, or organization.

 

Promo Code: The promo code allows ListyPosty users annual and semi-annual discounts on ads, and selected features.

 

�Description Box�: This is input text box allows the ListyPosty.com user to enter the main summary of the ad. Any detail may be mentioned in the Description Box.

 

Next the user must simply enter an email address to verify the authenticity of the ad. A verification link will be sent to the entered email address. The user may also enter a telephone number for the �text� option.

 

Next select permission if necessary.

 

Next agree to the �terms of services� and then �continue�.

 

 

Featured Ads

 

Select �featured� as the ad�s duration to unlock the special features of posting on ListyPosty.

(You must be logged-in to use these features).

 

The first feature is the �live chat�. This feature allows posters to create a chat and chat with viewers of the ad to discuss anything from prices to conditions. The chat will typically last 1 hour and the time and date of the chat should be listed inside the �Description Box� of the ad.

 

Live Auction: live auctions can be held using the chat feature. In the body of your ad simply include the �chat room� name, the day and time the auction will be held. Please don�t forget to create the room later in your �UserArea� and pay for it.

 

The next feature is �Video/ Video Link�.  A short video may be attached to any post.

 

The next feature is �text�. If a user enters a cell phone number, SMS Texts may be sent to the cell phone to alert the poster.

Next the poster may �add images�. Up to four images may be uploaded. You can also pay for extra 4 images from your �UserArea�.

 

Lastly the �featured� ad allows postings to multiple cities in Ontario, the United States and British Columbia, Quebec and Tamil Nadu. Please be aware that cities have different prices.

 

Next select permission if necessary.

 

Next agree to the terms of services and then �continue�.

 

Next you will be brought to the �Ad confirmation Screen�. You will see the �posting ID� and enter a �Verification Code�. Then press �Continue.�

 

Should the need for which you posted be met right away, that's the end of it. In most cases, however, you'll want to re-post.

Without re-posting, your post will stay up (in Los Angeles) for between 7 and 30 days, depending on the category, but you don't want to wait nearly that long. Posts appear in chronological order (last submitted on top), and users who browse=2 0will typically stop perusing after two or three days' worth of posts. Other users, who search by keyword, may retrieve older messages.

You can always edit your post, but editing won't move it up nor will re-posting.

In that case if you have a need for constant posting contact support for a non-expiring ads.

 

Hits

 

You can use this feature to determine why it is taking too long to sell your items or get calls for people to join your team. If you have a high number of hits and get little or no calls, then your ad was not written properly. Users might not understand the description for your ads or it might be overpriced. You can post an entirely new ad or edit the existing ad.
